November is the month I’m devoting to doing the heavy lifting on The Future We Deserve. The book is in excellent shape, with 94 of 100 pieces in so far, totaling 65,000 words. Well done to everybody who has written for the book – excellent work, girls and boys!
You can read the The Future We Deserve as it currently stands at the Collaboratory. I’m very pleased!
Also, at long last, we have the video from the Collapsonomics tour of Ireland!
Vinay Gupta – An Evening with Vinay Gupta
This is heavy, bracing stuff. It is explanation of the SCIM model as it applies to the macro risks from economy and environment. It also discusses AIAC, (agro-industrial auto-catalysis) a new way of thinking about what defines the aspects of civilization we are hoping to protect.
Here are the final slides from the talk.
You can also see Dougald’s section of the talk, and our good host, Richard O’Rourke of the Association for the Study of Peak Oil and Gas, ASPO Ireland. Thanks to Cultivate.ie in Dublin for hosting the talk, and Eoin Campbell of Just Multimedia for filming us. The Q&A with David Korowitz will be online soon.
http://vimeo.com/16464858 (the Q&A that wasn’t on line, but is now) is a must see.
And O’Rourke’s link has an extra quote.
One is glad to be of service.
