Does anybody know who built all of these? I hear there were some hundreds of units on the playa – several large theme camps with a dozen or half a dozen units, plus many, many groups with hexayurts. A good year!

    Haiti and Pakistan next?

    flattr this!

Yeah, Vinay! Qatra qatra darya mesha. On to real world situations. How many have been built so far in Haiti?

Bravisimo to you, for your vision, for your continued gift to our community and for the wisdom and courage to remind us about Haiti and Pakistan. I hope everyone completely gets that last statement… No one should be without shelter in our world… I did not get out of camp much this year (we were placed in Center Camp and very busy) but I did see these images of massive amounts of hexayurts on the playa… What a noble thing it would be if half of each of these camps hexayurts were donated to afflicted disaster areas in an effort to reuse them and in turn teach others to build them. I am assuming, and could be wrong; but if a camp could build 40 of them, they would need to have at least a decent amount of funds to do so—share the wealth!
