This simple design for an extremely insulated tent or sleeping tube has several very clever features. Four or more of the two person sleeping modules can be combined to produce a larger shelter using an innovative folding geometry. The insulating material (http://reflectixinc.com) is relatively cheap and is used whole-sheet, and the small tent can be used stand-alone at the start of a crisis, or as a sleeping unit inside a larger tent once more sophisticated help arrives. The tent is also suitable in principle for air drop directly into cold weather disaster areas to keep people alive through the critical first few days.
