Small scale democracy, large scale anarchy. That thing is all about property rights and the fact that they are not a fact. They are a mechanism designed by the ancient powers that are slowly being forced to relinquish their control to the people. Bureaucracy is a remnant of that. This kind of housing is a logical step. Permanent material hexayurts, local power sources, mesh computer networks and digital fabrication laboratories!
Did you hear what he said about property rights and Hernando de Soto in the middle???
Interesting take on problems with property rights being transferable, kind of like the problems you guys had with transferable fishing quotas!
Having them static is even worse. The key question here is “what is property?” and the answer to that is pretty hard to dig up. It regularly comes up with regard to water rights, land usage rights etc. Which reminds me — 1. October new water laws take effect.. (see e-mail reply for details)
Proudhon simply said: “Property is theft”
