• A little connection

    “A players hire A players. B players hire C players. Then comes the Bozo explosion”

    This is well explained by the Dunning-Kruger effect, “Idiots are too stupid to know they are idiots.”

    This can be seen as a minor corollary of the “Five Laws of Stupidity” which assert that idiots are the most dangerous kind of people, and collectively constitute a threat more severe than the Mafia or the Military-Industrial Complex because they destroy without anybody gaining from their actions. (Thanks to Lucas for that gem.)

    We need good rhetoric to point out these kinds of people and situations, without becoming like Leo Strauss in the process.

    It needs to become acceptable to say if we’re going to clear the decks on critical issues like climate and get down to a workable truth.
